It is a natural phenomenon that sheds are not evenly distributed on the head. In extreme fell there co-exists a poet hair ring with completely hairless head portions. These remaining can be transplanted and well distributed empty sheds again. It is possible to fill consolidate vague sheds or bald patches above the forehead (tonsuren, Geheimratsecken). About 3 - 4 months after transplantation the hair will grow about half an inch per month and sheds will fill.
