We perform breast lifts also known as breast corrections. The aim of the surgery is to lift the breast and to achieve a firmer and better shape of the breast. A part of excess skin will be removed. Any scars are located around the nipples to be less noticeable. With some types of breast lift surgeries there may be also an additional vertical scar from the nipple down to the bottom of the breast. The different types of breast correction procedures and their benefits are discussed in a personal consultation. Anesthesia: surgery can be performed in general- or in local-anesthesia. Time course: the operation lasts 1 to 1,5 hours.
Special risks of breast lift are: keloids or excessive scars, asymmetry and others. These risks are to be discussed by a clearing consultation before the surgery. Examinations: mammography, ECG, blood work and others are performed before the surgery. Follow-up check:Check-ups are performed on the 1st and the 2nd day after the surgery, moreover 7-10 days after the surgery. Also a check-up one month after the surgery is beneficial. Postoperative restrictions: please take at least one week vacations. Please don't perform intense physical activity up to 3-6 weeks after the surgery (for example gym). Important: Please avoid sauna, tan bank and sun exposure for 4-6 weeks after the surgery.
